Abstract
The unique character and great spiritual traits of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have historically been the cause of poets turning to prophetic eulogy; therefore, the history of Arabic literature is rich in valuable examples describing the Holy Prophet's character. Among the different periods of history, prophetic acclamation reached its peak during the decline period. Pioneered by poets such as Al-Busiri, Ibn Nubata, Safi Al Din Al Hilli it turned to an independent genre despite the decline of poetry Abualhadi Al-Sayadi is one of the poets of the period whose poems contain a considerable amount of prophetic praise and his Divan is emblazoned with the name of the Prophet and his virtues. In this article, descriptive analytical method has been applied to study prophetic eulogy in Sayyadi’s poems His poems include pleading and appealing, Muhammad’s virtues, miracles, his excellence over all prophets, and praise of the Prophet's companions and family.
