Abstract
Mass mourning which traditionally was held by the peasants in Mesopotamia and Phoenicia in remembrance of Dumuzi and his death, had such a reflection in the minds of Arabic eastern people that its depth still had not been analyzed properly.
A review of this religious mythology in the contemporary Arabic literature - And especially in marhi gheylan, which al-sayyab wrote in 1957 in honor of his only son's birth, gheylan - is necessary because on one hand revision of the sufferings of the lord of vegetation victim in the text of the poem possesses a consoling property for each human being, on the other hand readout of this ancient myth implants a kind of firm belief in the imminent resurrection in the current bewildered human mind.
The aim of the author of this article is the finding constituting original structures of this ancient myth according to the mythological critique . The final findings of the present study show that Syyab in his ode, recreates deep and fundamental structures of vegetation resurrection ancient texts, including the god of vegetation victim ,plant lady god, death world , tree and dual links of blood and water in an integrated and appropriate approach in connection to his own circumstances and the present situation in his country and the poet applied in this poem symbole of crucifiedchrist when imaged himself as victim tammuz in the resurrection myth.
